This year, Her Majesty The Queen will become the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee, seventy years of service, having acceded to the throne on 6 February 1952. To tie in with the 70 years of celebrations, David Rose, will take us through 70 years of Woking. David is a local historian and writer who regularly gives illustrated talks on topics based around the Woking and Guildford areas. The talk will bring people together to celebrate our heritage and mark an occasion of collective significance that will cultivate a sense of community.
